Piano Lessons

Private Piano Lessons

Practical, creative piano lessons for beginners, returning pianists, worship musicians, and developing jazz players

We offer online (anywhere in the world), in-studio, and in-home piano lessons in English and Spanish for beginners, returning pianists, worship musicians, and students interested in jazz fundamentals through intermediate piano. Whether you’re just starting out, returning to piano after years away, wanting to play more confidently in church or by ear, or looking to grow in harmony and improvisation, our lessons are designed to help you build real musical skills at the keyboard.

Our teaching combines strong fundamentals with a practical, musical approach, so students don’t just learn notes on a page, they also build confidence with chords, rhythm, ear training, improvisation, accompaniment, and real-world playing.

We work especially well with:

  • Adult beginners

  • Returning adult pianists

  • Teens and young adults

  • Older kids (ages 8+)

  • Worship and church musicians

  • Students who want to learn chords, accompaniment, and improvisation

  • Students interested in jazz fundamentals through intermediate piano

In addition to private teaching, I have experience in:

  • Piano instruction for students of different ages

  • Church and worship music direction

  • Jazz foundations and improvisation

  • Army Band performance experience

  • Accompanying singers and instrumentalists

  • Music theory and practical musicianship

  • Coaching students in real-world playing skills

My teaching style is encouraging, thoughtful, and goal-oriented, with a focus on helping students build both strong technical foundations and musical freedom.

  • Yes. Lessons are available online, in-studio, and in-home, depending on availability and location. In-studio lessons take place in my home studio. In-home lessons are available within the standard service area, with possible case-by-case exceptions for locations outside that range.

  • Thirty-minute lessons are a great fit for beginners, younger students, and those who prefer shorter, focused sessions. One-hour lessons are ideal for adults, returning pianists, teens, and students who want more time for deeper study, chords, improvisation, accompaniment, or worship piano.

  • That’s completely okay. You can select the option that seems closest to what you need, and the booking form will help me learn more about your goals, experience level, and preferences. I can recommend adjustments if a different lesson format or length would be a better fit.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made with more than 24 hours’ notice. Changes made within 24 hours may be subject to the full lesson charge, except in limited emergency situations at the instructor’s discretion.

  • Yes—students should have regular access to a piano or keyboard for practice between lessons. A digital piano or weighted keyboard is perfectly fine for many students, especially beginners. If you’re not sure whether your instrument is suitable, feel free to ask before booking.
